Preparing Houseplants and Plant Stands for Las Vegas House Cleaning

Make plant stands, watering trays, and nearby floors accessible for routine cleaning.

By Salt & Slate Cleaning Team

A group of houseplants can hide floor space, window ledges, and the back of a side table. Before a Las Vegas cleaning appointment, decide how the team should work around the plants and which surrounding surfaces should be accessible.

Start with the container arrangement. A lightweight pot on a stable table is different from a large planter, a hanging basket, or a stand carrying several pots. Tell the team which items should stay in place.

Separate plant care from room cleaning

Watering, pruning, repotting, and treating a plant are specific care tasks. Keep your household’s plant routine clear so cleaners can focus on the agreed surfaces around the plants.

Useful notes include:

  • Pots or stands that should remain untouched.
  • Fragile stems extending into a walkway.
  • Trays that contain water.
  • Existing marks or moisture damage on furniture below a pot.

If you want a table fully cleaned, move manageable plants to a prepared spot before the appointment. Protect that temporary surface according to its care needs and keep the walkway open.

Prepare the floor around larger plants

Pick up watering cans, bags of soil, tools, and fallen leaves from the cleaning route. Discuss any buildup under a planter that cannot be reached while it stays in place. Agree on access before expecting the team to clean underneath it.

A wheeled stand still needs a handling decision. Explain whether it is stable and whether you will move it yourself. Avoid leaving the team to discover loose wheels or an uneven load while working.

Keep window requests distinct

Dusting an accessible sill and cleaning interior window glass are different tasks. If plants obscure the window, identify both the desired work and the preparation needed to reach it.

When arranging recurring cleaning in Las Vegas, include plant locations that affect access. A few clear notes allow the room’s normal surfaces to receive care while your plants remain in the arrangement you intended.
