* Salt and Slate Cleaning Company will spot-clean walls only when requested or permitted, as wall paint — especially flat paint, older paint, or builder-grade paint — is highly susceptible to burnishing, streaking, dull patches, or full removal when scrubbed. Certain substances like permanent marker, crayons, dye transfer, oils, adhesive residue, and scuffs may not come off without removing or damaging paint. Salt and Slate Cleaning Company cannot guarantee the removal of marks from walls and is not liable for damage to paint or finishes during wall spot-cleaning.

** Homeowner is responsible for running dishwasher as Salt and Slate Cleaning Company is not able to determine which setting customer wants unless told specifically.

What's included in pricing

Move-out cleaning pricing covers the interior of one oven and one refrigerator. Additional ovens, refrigerators, freezers, or wall ovens are billed as add-ons ($60 per oven, $40 per fridge).

Before our team arrives

All interior storage spaces — cabinets, drawers, refrigerator, freezer, pantry, closets, and garage shelving — need to be empty before we clean. We clean surfaces thoroughly once spaces are clear; we do not sort, bag, move, or remove personal belongings, perishable food, or items left behind.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will a move-out cleaning help me get my security deposit back?

It's not a guarantee, but it removes cleaning as a line item on the inspection report. Most deposit deductions for cleaning fall apart when you can show the landlord a professional receipt and the unit is clearly in clean condition. A move-out cleaning typically costs less than a standard cleaning deduction.

How is a move-out cleaning different from a deep clean?

Same scope as a move-in cleaning — empty home access, inside all appliances, inside all cabinets and drawers, and a final walkthrough against landlord inspection criteria. The pricing and checklist are the same as move-in. The intent is different: move-out is about meeting an external standard and protecting your interests.

Does the home need to be empty before you arrive?

Yes. We need full access to every surface, which means furniture needs to be out. Cleaning a furnished home cannot achieve the same result and can't be quoted or guaranteed at move-out standard. If you need a cleaning while still partially moved in, book a deep clean instead.

Can you work directly with my property manager?

Yes. We can coordinate access and scheduling with a property manager or landlord and provide a completion summary they can keep on file. If there's a specific inspection checklist they use, share it with us and we'll clean to those criteria.
