Whether you are preparing for guests, recovering from a renovation, or resetting after a long stretch without professional cleaning, a deep clean strips everything back to baseline. Salt & Slate deep cleaning reaches the places that regular cleaning skips: oven hood vents, baseboards, grout lines, behind furniture, inside linen closets, and along every windowsill and door frame.

Our deep cleaning service takes two to three times longer than a standard visit because we are not cutting corners. We move furniture to vacuum underneath. We scrub tile grout by hand. We degrease oven hood vents. We wipe down every cabinet face and door frame. We detail baseboards in every room and clean inside linen closets. When we leave, your home feels reset from top to bottom.

Most clients book a deep clean as a one-time reset before transitioning to recurring service. Others schedule deep cleans quarterly or seasonally to stay ahead of the buildup that daily life creates. Need inside of oven, inside of fridge, or interior windows? Those are available as add-ons to any deep clean.

If your home has not been professionally cleaned in the last 60 days, it is not in maintenance condition. A deep clean includes everything in a routine clean plus additional detail work.

* Salt and Slate Cleaning Company will spot-clean walls only when requested or permitted, as wall paint — especially flat paint, older paint, or builder-grade paint — is highly susceptible to burnishing, streaking, dull patches, or full removal when scrubbed. Certain substances like permanent marker, crayons, dye transfer, oils, adhesive residue, and scuffs may not come off without removing or damaging paint. Salt and Slate Cleaning Company cannot guarantee the removal of marks from walls and is not liable for damage to paint or finishes during wall spot-cleaning.

** Homeowner is responsible for running dishwasher as Salt and Slate Cleaning Company is not able to determine which setting customer wants unless told specifically.

Top-to-bottom execution

We work systematically through every room, starting high and finishing low. Every surface gets individual attention according to its material.

Final inspection

Your team lead walks the home before leaving to verify every item on the checklist. If anything needs another pass, it gets done on the spot.

Why do I need a deep clean before starting recurring service?

Recurring cleaning keeps a clean home clean. It isn't built to scrub grout, degrease hood vents, or detail every baseboard — it's built to maintain a home that's already at that level. If we put a recurring crew into a home that hasn't been deep cleaned, the detail work gets skipped, the results are inconsistent, and you're not getting what you're paying for. The deep clean sets the baseline. Recurring keeps it there.

What's NOT included in a deep clean?

Inside the oven, inside the refrigerator, interior windows, and behind the stove or refrigerator are available as paid add-ons but aren't part of the standard deep clean checklist. These are common additions and easy to add when you book.

What if I don't want to start with a deep clean?

No worries. We have hourly blocks available at $50 per hour per cleaner with a minimum of $150. We can target your top priority areas during that time. Please note that hourly cleans do not come with our satisfaction guarantee, and we cannot guarantee everything on your priority list will be finished within those hours.

Can I book a deep clean as a one-time visit without starting recurring service?

Yes. Plenty of clients book a single deep clean for a specific reason — pre-holiday prep, post-renovation reset, or just a hard reset after a busy stretch. You're not required to start a recurring plan.

What is the main difference between a deep clean and a standard clean?

A deep clean includes everything in a standard clean plus baseboards throughout, exterior of all cabinets and drawers, interior doors and door frames, windowsills and window frames, cleaning under furniture, and scrubbing tile grout in bathrooms.
